ALPS adds new a Sales Associate

       Boston, MA - ALPS is pleased to announce that SeifAllah Salotto-Cristobal has started in a new role as Sales Associate.

        Seif (pronounced "Safe") began working in the lighting industry at a college theatre in Northwest Florida in 2005. After 3 years as the House Electrician for the facility he moved to Kansas City to complete a Masters in Fine Arts in Lighting and Projection Design from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. After graduation he moved to the Boston area where he continued to design for local theatre companies and eventually took a position as a Rental Warehouse Assistant at ALPS.

        ALPS Sales Manager, Chris Souza commented, "This is a great fit and we are confident that Seif's design experience and technical knowledge will serve our customers well".

Michael Barczys Joins ALPS as
Lighting Designer in Events Department

       Boston, MA - ALPS announces the addition of Michael Barczys to the Events Department Lighting Design team.

        With over 13 years of lighting design, installation, and programming experience, Michael has worked with The Metropolitan Opera, Big Apple Circus, Tyler Perry Studios, Michael Riotto Design, Baryshnikov Arts Center, BNL Design Inc., etc. His range of projects include Broadway shows, film, national and international tours, product launches, and events. Most recently, Michael worked at High Output.

        Dan Clawson, VP of Events for ALPS commented, "We are very excited to have Michael as part of our growing creative team and look forward introducing his talents to our clients."

ALPS Names Rigging Specialist

        ALPS has recently appointed Ethan Gilson to a newly created position as the company's Rigging Specialist. An ETCP Certified Rigger and Recognized trainer, Ethan has been with the company since 1999, where he worked as a lighting designer and production rigger for the Events Department. He is currently a voting member of the PLASA Rigging Working Group and has chaired task groups in the development of ANSI Standards for rigging in the entertainment industry.

        In this new role, Ethan will be responsible for overseeing the rigging needs, policies and procedures of all ALPS departments. This will include rigging systems design and implementation for installations, live event rigging services, design consultation for rental clients, rigging inspections, personal fall arrest system design, as well as continuing to grow the organization's educational arm, ALPS Academy - Entertainment Rigging Sessions.
