ALPS Turns 20!

Although it all started 34 years ago (1981) as BWA Lighting, July 1, 2015 marks 20 years as ALPS! That is when Steven Way of BWA Lighting Company and Jim deVeer of deV Enterprises combined their two organizations and never looked back. ​ALPS Helps Light Janet Echelman’s Sculpture

The ALPS Systems team provided the wireless control system, integration and programming of the lighting for the $1.25 million temporary exhibit. The wireless transmitters and receivers are City Theatrical’s Show DMX Vero fed from the Pharos control system with load sensors and a custom program designed by ARUP, which will allow the wind to trigger specific cues. The sculpture will float over the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston until October.

​ALPS Provides Lighting for PAX East Gaming Convention

Working with Reaction AV, ALPS once again provided lighting and design services for several booths and main stage at the PAX East Gaming Convention, held at the Boston Convention Exposition Center.
